Cheryl Ruth Shy

Cheryl Ruth Shy, 61, passed away on July 24, 2026, after a courageous battle with Hodgkin's lymphoma. 

She was born on Sept. 28, 1964, in Springfield. She graduated from Republic High School with the Class of 1982, attended Draughon's Business School, and later earned her Associate's degree from Ozarks Technical Community College.

She worked as an Office Manager in the MFO Division at Paul Mueller Company for more than 25 years. In 2022, she joined Adaptive Stainless, a former division of Paul Mueller Company, where she continued working until her health declined earlier this year.

On Dec. 14, 1985, Cheryl married the love of her life, Douglas Shy. Together they built a loving family and were blessed with three children: Brandi, Beth, and Matthew.

She was preceded in death by her father, Roger Miller, and her nephew, Zak Neal.

She is survived by her husband, Douglas Shy; her children, Brandi (Wesley) Robison, Beth (Travis) Larsen, and Matthew Shy; her three grandchildren; her mother, Ruth Hicks; her brother, Kent Miller (Nancy Foley).

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 10-11 a.m. at Meadors Funeral Home in Republic. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11 a.m., with Pastor Denny Marr officiating. Her care has been entrusted to Meadors Funeral Home.
