Cynthia Lee “Cindy” Lusby

Cynthia Lee “Cindy” Lusby (née Speak), 64, passed away peacefully on Dec. 8, 2025, in Springfield. Born on Oct. 25, 1961, in Encino, Calif., she lived a life marked by compassion, service, and unwavering faith.
She graduated from West Plains High School and went on to earn her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification from North Arkansas Technical School in Harrison, Ark. Her dedication to healthcare and community service found its fullest expression when she became one of the original 100 founding members of the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks in 1995. From its inception, she poured her heart into the organization—not only shaping its mission but also nurturing the people within it.
Her commitment to service extended far beyond her professional life. A devoted member of Life 360 Republic—formerly Republic Assembly of God—she recommitted her life to Jesus in 2002 and remained deeply involved with her church community. She served as a board member for both Life 360 and Life 360 Family Services and participated in numerous medical mission trips to Haiti.
She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Craig R. Lusby, of the home; son Justin Sanders and daughter-in-law Crystal Sanders, of Fair Grove; daughter Jessica Churchman and son-in-law Brian Churchman, of Republic; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind two brothers: Jerry Speak of Desloges, and Rick Speak of Sneads Ferry, N.C.; along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father Richard “Bud” Speak; mother Linda Olin Speak; as well as her paternal and maternal grandparents.
A memorial service will be held on Dec. 26, at 6 p.m., at Republic Life 360 341 U.S. Hwy 60 W.
