Erik Allan Bennett

Erik Allan Bennett, 44, of Hallsville, passed away from natural causes at his home on March 29, 2026.

Erik was born in Springfield, on December 24th, 1981, a son of Donald Allan Bennett and Diane Lee (Lofties) Bennett. He was a 2000 graduate of West Plains High School where he excelled in band and computer sciences. Erik attended Ozark Technical College and Missouri State University. He held many IT certifications. Erik was employed by SS&C Technology as Director of IT Procurement, and prior to that was employed for many years at IBM in Columbia. 

Erik married Ellen (Holbrook) Bennett on Oct. 15, 2016, and she survives at their home. In addition to Ellen, Erik is survived by his parents, Don & Diane Bennett, brother, Justin Bennett;  Mother in Law Janet Holbrook; Brother in Law Austin Holbrook (Kenda); Sister in Law Emily Hickman (Mike). 

Erik was preceded in death by his grandparents Ray & Maxine Largent, Robert & Barbara Jean Bennett; Father in Law Robert James Holbrook, cousin April Brashears.

Visitation was 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Meadors Funeral Home in Republic with funeral services immediately after. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions are suggested to Meadors Funeral Home in Republic to help cover final expenses for the family.
