Jacqueline “Jackie” Gilkey

Jacqueline “Jackie” Gilkey, 76, of Walnut Grove passed away Monday, Dec. 8, 2025. She was born on Feb. 25, 1949, to Calvin “Bud” and DeLoris (Saxton) Martin. On June 24, 1996, Jackie and David Gilkey were united in marriage and shared over 29 years together.
She enjoyed horses, and she and David traveled all over the country together—visiting 48 states and putting more than 200,000 miles on their pull-behind camper. But her favorite place to be was wherever her grandkids were.
She is survived by her husband, David Gilkey; children, Leslie Schuh and husband Mark, Diane Smith and husband Justin, Wade Gilkey; six grandchildren; siblings, Tom Martin and wife Linda, Debbie Robertson and husband Phillip; nieces, nephews and many other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation was 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 12, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove. Graveside services were at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025, at Greene Lawn Cemetery, Walnut Grove.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Sac River Cowboy Church for the Christmas baskets and may be left with the funeral home.
