Kathryn Ola Cox

Kathryn Ola Cox, 104, Willard, passed away, on Sunday, May 3, 2026. She was born on Oct. 10, 1921, in Bois D’Arc, to Harry and Nellie (Palmer) Binkley. On Jan. 18, 1942, Kathryn and Benjamin Lee Cox were united in marriage and shared over 49 years together, before Lee’s passing in 1991. 


She was a lifelong member of Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church in Willard.  She graduated from Bois D’Arc High School in 1938 and attended Draughon’s Business College for two years. She was employed by Springfield Credit Bureau and Lipscomb Feed Company. 


She was preceded in death by her parents; Harry and Nellie Binkley; husband, Lee Cox; brothers, Gilbert Binkley, Henry Binkley; sisters, Bonnie Bowers, Noreva Elson, and Iona Fortner.


She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove.
