Lloyd Franklin Meacheam

Lloyd Franklin Meacheam, 92, of Battlefield passed away Sunday, April 5, 2026. 
He was the baby of his family, born to Leonard and Bertha (Little) Meacheam in Clever, on Jan. 29, 1934. 

He was born and raised in Clever, where he worked hard on the family farm and later met Wanda Meacheam.

On Jan. 24, 1954 he married Wanda Lee Meacheam. They shared 68 years of marriage, and 72 years of adventure and laughter. Together they had two children, Kim Marler and Danny Meacheam with wife, Mary Meacheam. 


He joined the Navy and they both moved to San Francisco where they lived for two years before returning to Springfield. In 1961, Lloyd joined State Farm Insurance and opened his own agency in Springfield. 

Meacheam is survived by Kim Marler and Danny Meacheam with wife, Mary Meacheam, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law Betty Sue Meacheam, brother-in-law Jerry Max Stigall, and sister-in-law Janice Peebles. 

He is preceded in death by parents Leonard and Bertha Meacheam, his wife Wanda Meacheam, brothers James Meacheam, Bill Meacheam and sister Ruth Moore. 


Visitation was at 2 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2026 with the funeral service following at 2:30 pm at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, Springfield. The family asks in lieu of flowers to consider a donation to Honor Flight of the Ozarks, in honor of Lloyd Meacheam.
