Merry Ellen Allcorn

Merry Ellen Allcorn, 74, of Marionville,  passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026, in Verona. She was born in West Virginia on Friday, May 2, 1952.  She was the daughter of Francis J. Brooks. Merry graduated from Central High School in Springfield. She worked over 25 years at the United States Post Office. She drove a mail route and had connections with many of the families she served. 

Surviving are her best friends: Hannah (Gary) Cullum of Marlow, OK and Mike Washam of Aurora. Preceding her in death are her mother, Francis J. Brooks (passed away in 1984).

Merry has been cremated at her request. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City.
