Norma L. Hayward

Norma L. Hayward, 88, of Cassville passed away Monday, July 20, 2026 at her home.
She was born Feb. 19, 1938 in Cassville, the daughter of Clarance D. and Cora V. (Preddy) Saunders. On Dec. 30, 1956 in Cassville she was united in marriage to Bobby Wayne Hayward, who preceded her in death on Oct. 15, 2006. Also preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Harold Saunders, Alfred Saunders and Charles Saunders and sisters, Louise Skelton and June Bateman.
Surviving are her sons Gary Hayward of Cassville, and Larry Hayward and wife Vickie of Republic; brothers Johnny Saunders and wife Janie of Washburn and Verdayne Saunders and wife Gail of Republic; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. 
She attended school in Exeter and graduated from Exeter High School with the class of 1956. She was a devoted homemaker and a talented seamstress who made her son's clothes for many years. She was of the Baptist faith.
Graveside service was held on Friday, July 24, at Mineral Springs Cemetery in Cassville, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Laith Hayward conducted the services.
