Dale W. Keltner

Dale W. Keltner, 78, of Walnut Grove passed away Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025. He was born on Feb. 17, 1947, to Kenneth and Dorothy (Conn) Keltner. On Aug. 16, 1990, he and Sandra Dickson were united in marriage and shared over 35 years together.
He proudly served in the United States Navy, during the Vietnam War, for two and a half years aboard a destroyer, an experience he spoke of with pride. A true worker at heart, he built his own home and was especially skilled in electrical work, always ready to take on a project. He worked at Sweetheart Cup as a maintenance electrician for over 25 years. He enjoyed his guns and had a remarkable creative side, dedicating a room of his home to a detailed village filled with his favorite trains, planes and automobiles. Above all else, he adored his grandson and great-grandson, finding his greatest joy in time spent with them.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy Keltner; sons, Kevin Keltner and wife Benita, Kelly Keltner and wife Kim; one grandson; one great-grandson; nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Linda Muenks, Kay Keltner and Connie Keltner.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until noon, Wednesday, Dec. 17, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove. Inurnment will take place at a later date, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield.
