Billy Gene Ferrell

Billy Gene Ferrell, 88, a Northland resident of Kansas City, MO passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 1, 2026. Bill was born September 13,1937 to Ned and Gay (Snelson) Ferrell of Pondfork, MO.
Bill proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
He worked as an electrician for IBEW Local Union #124 for several years. He later changed careers and went to work for General Motors Local Union #31; from where he retired. Bill enjoyed: listening to country music; square dancing with his wife, Nancy; watching the KC Chiefs, basketball and NASCAR. Many years ago Riverside, Missouri held car races.
Bill enjoyed working at the racetrack as the official flagman; where he proudly signaled the drivers waving the green, yellow and checkered flags. Bill is survived by his loving wife Nancy Ferrell; four children; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and his feline companion, Peaches. He was preceded in death by both parents, a brother Tony Ferrell and a sister Norma Russell.
Graveside services were held July 6, 2026 in Willard, MO. Final arrangements entrusted with Meyers Northland Chapel, Parkville, MO.
