ADDIE VIRGINIA THOMPSON

Addie Virginia Thompson, 91, of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2023. She was born in Bois D’Arc, on March 22, 1931, to Lester and Loren (Jones) Bolin. On April 25, 1958 Virginia and Lloyd Thompson were united in marriage and shared over 47 years together before Lloyd’s passing in 2005.
Thompson enjoyed quilting, gardening and she adored her family.
She is survived by her brother, Leon and his wife Shirley Bolin of Clever; sons, Dr. Steven and Phyllis Cotter of Chesapeake, Va., Gregory and Cathy Cook Springfield; six grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; special friend Marilyn Sappington; other family and many friends.
Thompson was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Loren Bolin; husband, Lloyd Thompson; sister, Dorothy and husband Ward Williams.  
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time, Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Clear Creek Cemetery, Springfield.  
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and can be left at the funeral home.
