ANN MEREDITH FERGUSON

Ann Meredith Ferguson, 87, of Willard passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024, following an extended illness. She was born on March 3, 1937;to Anna Vera Bryant and Clarence Vernon Oakes in Pueblo, Colo. and her family moved to Missouri shortly after her birth.
She graduated from Springfield High School (now Central) and then earned a bachelor’s degree from SMSU (now Missouri State University).
While at college, she met Robert (Bob) Lewis Ferguson and they were married on Aug. 29, 1956. The couple settled in Willard and shared over 56 years of marriage before his death in September of 2012.
She was a member of the Willard Renew Church and a member of the Dorcas Sewing Circle group. She worked as a postal clerk for many years at the Walnut Grove post office and the Willard post office.
She is survived by her children: Susanna (Steve) Hill, Jill Winters (Daniel Wilson), and Rob (Lori) Ferguson; eight grandchildren; four great-grandsons; and her fur baby,Tori.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob; and son-in-law, Stacy Winters.
Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 7, at Willard Renew Church in Willard with private interment in Wesley Cemetery in Willard.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wilson Griffin Funeral Home in Ash Grove.
