ARTHUR L. PERKINS

Arthur Lee Perkins, Jr., 65, of Republic passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023. He was born Jan. 26, 1958, to Mary Margaret (Yont) Perkins and Arthur Lee Perkins, Sr.
Together the family lived in Springfield. He graduated from Kickapoo High School. He worked at Springfield Ice and Cold Storage, where he made lifelong friends, and Missouri Neon for 30 years until he retired.
He married Joetta Lynn (Sturdefant) on Oct. 23, 1982 and they moved to Republic in 1984.
He is survived by his wife, Joetta; two sons, Kristopher Lee (Cessna) Perkins, Sr. and Mathew Lewis (Stephanie) Perkins; four grandchildren; his sister, Gayla (Richard); one nephew and two nieces, three great nephews; an aunt, Anna Taylor and other extended family and countless friends.
A visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. with a celebration of life beginning at 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 4, at Meadors Funeral Home in Republic.
