Bagley, Houp promoted at Ash Grove R-4

New position created for school district

During the Feb. 26 meeting of the Ash Grove Board of Education, the board voted to a change in the district’s administration. Longtime Athletic Director and Assistant High School Principal Brian Bagley will vacate those roles in 2024-2025, as next school year he will begin a newly minted position at the district—operations director. With the title comes new responsibilities. He will be in charge of all grounds, maintenance and transportation in the district. Bagley will receive roughly the same salary from the change.
Also on the move is Dr. Austin Houp. Houp is currently in charge of curriculum and instructional technology throughout the district, as well as being the high school boys assistant basketball coach. Added to those responsibilities starting the next school year, will be assistant principal duties at the high school.
Although no numbers were made available, his pay is reported to be similar as well.
