CARROL MARIE CRIBBS STEPP

Carrol Marie Cribbs Stepp, 82, of Walnut Grove passed away on Monday, Feb. 27, 2023. She was born Sept. 28, 1940, to Clifford and Sadie (Seiner) Cribbs in Bolivar.
In 1960, Stepp was working at Gospel Publishing House and met Darrell “Diz” Stepp. They began dating and were married Sept. 30, 1961. They shared over 61 years together.
Stepp was a devoted Christian woman. While in high school, she was a cheerleader, in the drum core, and the homecoming queen. After she married, she was a homemaker until her children grew and then became the store manager at Mays Mart, for 35 years.
Stepp is survived by her husband, Darrell “Diz” Stepp; children, Cliff Stepp and wife Becky, Shelly Maddux and husband Mark, Tammy Crabtree and husband Scott; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Betty Cribbs, Joan Stepp; brother-in-law, Dorman Agee; other family and many friends.
Stepp was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Sadie Cribbs; sisters Darlene Allen, Wanda Agee; brother David Cribbs; and twin brother, Darrol Cribbs.
Visitation was 5-7 p.m., Friday, March 3, 2023 at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove. Funeral services were at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove, with burial following at Greene Lawn Cemetery, Walnut Grove.
Stepp faithfully gave to St. Jude’s for over 21 years. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be given to St. Jude’s, in Stepp’s name, and may be left at the funeral home.
