Cashio takes master helm at Ash Grove Post Office

Ginger Cashio is the new postmaster at the Ash Grove Post Office; she was appointed to the position on May 7. She succeeded former postmaster Jimmy G. Ball, who is now retired and living in Stockton.
As postmaster, Cashio has several duties. According to the article “Becoming a Postmaster” by Cary Watson, a postmaster’s job duties include “supervising the logistics of mail delivery and directing post office retail operations.” Watson said other duties include proposing a branch budget, hiring and training staff, managing branch expenses, preparing reports and educating the public about USPS regulations and services.
According to information provided by the USPS website, Cashio also served as officer-in-charge at the Ash Grove Post Office; she was appointed to that position on March 26, 2021, about three months before Ball was named postmaster.
