Republic church helps hundreds of children for holidays

The Northpoint Church, Republic Campus, hosted a "Day of Hope" at the Republic Community Center on Saturday, Dec. 18 for over 300 children and their families. At the event, participants were treated to breakfast, after which, children went to the Kids' Zone, where they played games, completed crafts, participated in activities and even met Santa Claus. Meanwhile, parents were able to pick out clothing, toys and other gifts for their children, wrap them and put them in their vehicles while their children were playing. Families were also given food for a Christmas dinner. Northpoint Church teamed up with the Republic Area Chamber of Commerce, the Springfield Dream Center and local businesses to make A "Day of Hope" happen.
