JEFFREY “JEFF” LYNN JONES

Jeffrey Lynn Jones, 70, of Willard passed away on May 5, 2024. He was born on Nov. 7, 1953, to Robert Lynn Jones and Maxine “Mac” Ruth Coon in Des Moines, Iowa.
He was raised in Indianola, Iowa where he graduated from high school in 1971. During high school he earned a football scholarship to Iowa State University. He graduated in 1975 with a degree in animal science.
After graduating college, he married his first wife, Karen and together they had two children. He later married his current wife, Cindi and together they had one son.
He is survived by his wife, Cindi; sons, Brandon (Yesenia) Jones and Connor Jones; daughter, Jennifer (Adam) Rinn; four grandchildren; and many other loving extended family, friends and his two dogs, Jackson and Jacey.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, at Elfindale Chapel located at 1701 S. Fort Ave. in Springfield. A reception will follow.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield.
