JOHN E. SANVILLE

John E. Sanville, 79, of Marionville passed away at his home on April 12, 2024. He was born in Springfield, Ill. on Aug. 28, 1944, to Everett and Mildred (Langston) Sanville.
He graduated from Adams High School and then went on to attend CSU (Colorado State University) graduating with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts.
He married Karen Arnsmeyer and this union was blessed with two sons, John and Aaron. He worked for Caterpillar for over 30 years before he and his family relocated to Marionville to help manage the family farm, along with his brother-in-law, Roy. Together they raised Merino sheep, Limousine cattle and chickens. He was a devoted husband until her passing in 2021. He drove a school bus for the Marionville public school system for almost five years until he retired.
He is survived by his sons, John (Kimi) Sanville and Aaron Sanville; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; as well as other extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Karen; parents; and his sister, Virginia Leissoo.
There will be a celebration of life in Colorado at a later date. He will be inurned with his wife at Brashears Cemetery, also at a later date.
