Karlene Frances Davis

Karlene Frances Davis, 79, of Battlefield passed away peacefully on Feb. 13, 2026, with her daughter Ashlee and sister Nikki by her side.
 
She was born on Sept. 6, 1946, in Spearville, Kan. to Derrol and JaNeva “Pat” (Kirmer) Dvorak. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents and her brother, Roch Dvorak.
 
She is survived by her cherished children: David Davis of Jetmore, Kan., Bryan Davis of Battlefield, Jeremy Davis and his wife Barbara of Republic, Brandon Davis of Nixa, and Ashlee Liska and her husband Jason, of Republic. She was a proud and loving grandmother to seven grandchildren, and great-grandmother to two.
 
She will be dearly missed by her brother Richard Dvorak and his wife Bonnie; her sisters Kathlene Loyd and her husband Tom, Lydia Watts and her husband Ron, JaNelda Fields and her husband Steve, and Nikki Meyer and her husband Rich; along with many nieces, nephews, and countless treasured friends.
 
She was a devoted member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Springfield, her faith was the foundation of her strength and compassion.
She served on the board of the Republic Senior Center and embraced simple joys — country western dancing, playing cards and bingo, cheering on her grandchildren at their activities, and long chats with friends and family. She always had a project in motion, whether redecorating her home, refurbishing antique furniture, or sewing something special. Above all, her greatest pride was her family.
 
A Funeral Mass was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hodgeman County, Kan. at a later date.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Republic Senior Friendship Center at 210 E. Hines, Republic, MO 65738.
