Kent Thomas "Tom" Rogers

Kent Thomas "Tom" Rogers, 70, of Springfield, passed away on Aug. 8. Born on Feb. 23, 1956, in Springfield to Don Rogers Sr. and Wilda Gean Rogers.
 
He graduated from Willard High School in Willard,  and later attended  then Southwest Missouri State University (SMS) in Springfield.  He worked with his father Don Rogers as a contractor and then, he worked the majority of his career working at the Gospel Publishing House of the Assemblies of God National office in Springfield and A lifelong member of the Assemblies of God, 
 
He is survived by his beloved life partner Sandy Whiteside; sister Patricia Sue Peterson; brother Don Rogers Jr.; son Chance Rogers.
 He was preceded in death by his parents Don Rogers Sr. and Wilda Gean Rogers; sisters Brenda Millhouser and Billie Payton; and nephew Ryan Laffoon.
 
Funeral Services to honor Tom’s life was on Aug. 14, at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home located at 2001 W. Walnut Lawn St, Springfield. Visitation was before the service and burial followed the funeral service at Wade Chapel Cemetery located at 10501 W. Farm Road 174, Republic.
