LORENE BRYANT-CHAPPELL

Lorene Bryant-Chappell, 103, of Aurora passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024. She was born on Oct. 6, 1920, in Everton; the daughter of Enoch and Flora Bell (Grover) Patton.
In 1941, she married Vincil Bryant and they shared over 43 years together before his passing in 1984. She later married Ray Chappell, and they spent over 20 years together before his passing in 2011.
She was a lifelong area resident, spending much of her life in Ash Grove and Bolivar. She retired as a bookkeeper for Campbell 66 Express in Springfield after 28 years.
She is survived by her great-granddaughters, Nicki (Scott) Edwards and Tawny (Cory) Adamson; her great-great grandson, Gage Edwards; other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by both of her husbands, Vincil and Ray; her parents; her many brothers and sisters; and many beloved friends.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 26, at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Springfield.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home in Ash Grove.
