LORRAINE (LODI) LEE VERNON

Lorraine (Lodi) Lee Vernon, 93, of Willard passed away on Nov. 27, 2024. She was born in Sapulpa, Okla. on June 3, 1931; the fourth of five children born to of Barney and Finnetti (Walker) Weaver.
She graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1949, and attended Ozark Bible College in Joplin for a short time.  There she met B.J. Vernon from Lebanon and they were married on May 29, 1950.  
She served as a Chaplain’s Assistant at Cox Hospital in Springfield for 10 years and as a minister’s wife, she also sang with her husband and three of his brothers and their wives.
She is survived by her children: Linda (Jim) White, Michael (Linda) Vernon, James (Lana) Vernon and Lisa (Gerardo) Gonzalez; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
No services are planned at this time. Arrangements under the direction of Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home in Ash Grove.
