Marilyn S. Dimmitt

Marilyn S. Dimmitt, 82, of Willard, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020. Dimmitt was born May 2, 1938 to Henry and Alberta (Levell)Moudy. On Nov. 4, 1956 Marilyn and Bobby “Bob” Dimmitt were united in marriage and shared over 55 years together, before Bob’s passing in 2012. Dimmit lived in the area most of her life. She enjoyed quilting, playing the organ, and working in her flower gardens. She was a longtime member of Hopewell Church where she made many lifelong friends. Dimmitt is survived by her sons, Jeff Dimmitt and wife Teri, Justin Dimmitt and wife Donna; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; other family and many friends. Dimmitt is preceded in death by her husband, Bob Dimmitt and two brothers, Charles Moudy and Gordon Moudy.Visitation was from 4-5 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 12, 2020 at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home. Graveside services were at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 13, 2020 at Sinking Creek Cemetery, Everton. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Ash Grove Sunshine Center or Mt. Vernon’s Children’s Home and may be left at the funeral home or mailed to Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, PO Box 217, Ash Grove, MO 65604.
