PAM ANN (MARK) BAUMGARDNER

Pam Ann (Mark) Baumgardner, 74, passed away on Aug. 25, 2024. She was born in Sapporo, Japan on May 8, 1950; the daughter Ottis Paul and Ruby Evelyn (Ratje) Mark. Her father was killed in action on Dec. 7, 1950. She moved with her family to Missouri at age 3 and her mother was remarried to Freeman Fredrick “Fred” Mark (brother to Ottis Paul) in 1957.
She attended Sedalia schools through graduating in 1968 and attended SMSU in 1968, majoring in theatre and speech education. She moved to Bolivar in 1971, teaching English and Spanish while finishing a master’s degree in guidance by 1974. This resulted in 10 years of family counseling with CODAC, Branson Mental Health and DATE education.
In 1981, she married Don Baumgardner and they were married for 39 years before his passing. They spent 35 years traveling and running businesses together and she retired in 2023.
She is survived by her siblings Alan Mark and Tina Mark; her daughter, Jill Bennett and a vast host of friends and family.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Sat., Oct. 12, at Lee Cemetery in Verona. In case of inclement weather, the service will be moved a short distance down the road to Tammie & Robin Walker’s home. Lunch will be served afterwards.
