Proposition Pirates spells big boost

The bond passage would also likely result in a 5,329 square foot addition at Bois D’Arc which would boost safety at that location as well.

If Proposition Pirates passes April 8, Ash Grove Elementary will likely receive the 7,022 square foot addition shown, which will add space and security to the campus.

Ash Grove Elementary, Bois D’Arc Elem. would get improvements, additions
Artist renderings from Sapp Design Architects have officially been released from the Ash Grove School District of what will possibly be built if voters approve Proposition Pirates, a $7.5 million no tax rate increase bond on the April 8 ballot.
Following the updating of aging HVAC units and roofs district-wide, two building additions are anticipated by district officials, one at Ash Grove Elementary School and one at Bois D’Arc Elementary School.
At Ash Grove, a multi-purpose, safe room will be added which will serve as a gym and cafeteria. The former cafeteria will be transformed into classrooms. Additional bathrooms will also be added.
At Bois D’Arc, onto the southwest corner of the existing school, a new safe room cafeteria/commons, and kitchen will be built, as well as a new ADA compliant and secure entrance and administrative office. Also included in the Bois D’Arc plans is an expanded parking lot.
