Republic’s biggest event returns this weekend
Get your gourd on this weekend at the 32nd annual Republic Pumpkin Daze Fall Festival at J.R. Martin Park, Hines Street. The two-day event, which runs from noon to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, and 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 7, will include the 63rd iteration of the Republic Kiwanis Fall Festival queen contest. The queen will be crowned at 6 p.m. Saturday.
Both days promise a day of entertainment, as musicians will be performing on the live music stage and throughout the day. There will also be a full slate of activities on the AMP Stage, including a magic show, kids tractor pull and dance performances from Dynamics Dance and Tiffany’s Performing Arts Studio.
Likely the main attraction though will be the draw of potentially record-breaking produce by way of pumpkins, watermelons and more which will be on hand Saturday only, following their official weigh-in.
