Ethan L. Haynes, a 2022 graduate of Republic High School, has been selected to receive the Leslie Raybourn Memorial Scholarship, administered by the Community Foundation of the Ozarks. The scholarship provides $2,000 in support of Hayne’s higher education.

Haynes, the son of Tracy Haynes and Jason Haynes, will attend Drury University this fall, where he will study business.

“I am beyond blessed to have received such an honorable scholarship,” Haynes says. “After hearing of the high standards Leslie held herself to, I knew that I was extremely fortunate to have been considered worthy of the scholarship in her name. I am thankful beyond words for the Community Foundation of the Ozarks for organizing the scholarships and grateful for the Raybourn family for being a part of our community.”

Wayne A. Yocum established the Leslie Raybourn Memorial Scholarship Fund to enable selected Republic High School graduates to receive quality post-secondary education. Raybourn was a senior at Republic when she was killed in a car accident in 1998.

The CFO is a regional public charitable foundation with total assets of $375 million as of June 30, 2022.
