Republic native and Missouri State basketballer Kaemyn Bekemeier has earned her third Conference USA Player of the Week award following a hot stretch last week.
According to a release distributed by Missouri State athletics, Bekemeier has earned her third Player of the Week award of the 2025-2026 season, averaging 28.5 points per game and 12.5 rebounds over the course of the week. Her notable streak propelled the Lady Bears to two wins, one over Kennesaw State and the other over Jacksonville State.
On Thursday, matched up against Kennesaw, Bekemeier logged a career-high 26 points and nabbed 11 rebounds to go with it. The Lady Bears would win the game 80-69, paced by her stellar performance. She finished with six made field goals on 15 attempts and 13 free throws on 16 attempts.
Bekemeier set another career high just a few days later, stacking up an impressive 31 points and 14 rebounds in another stellar performance on Saturday, one of five such stat lines in NCAA Division 1, according to the release. She shot 11-16 from the field in this contest, adding seven made free throws to secure the 63-47 win against Jacksonville State.
Bekemeier is the only player in Conference USA to collect multiple conference player of the week awards this season, scoring more than 10 points in 12 straight games. Bekemeier also leads MSU in double-doubles with five and 20-point performances with seven.
She will look to continue her outstanding play on the road with UTEP and New Mexico State matchups next on the calendar.
