Rosemary Rodgers

Rosemary Rodgers, 95, of Republic, passed away at 12:02 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 7, 2020, at Sonshine Manor, in Republic. She was born Dec. 2, 1925, in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of Hal Ray and Laura Jane (Buttrick) Richardson.Rodgers was a graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and was an agent/broker for Rodgers Reality in Republic, which she and her husband, Rex, owned and operated for many years.On Dec. 28, 1940, she married Rex Rodgers, in Mt. Vernon. He preceded her in death on Aug. 9, 2007.She is survived by her daughter, Anne Atkinson and her husband, Jack, of Republic; one son, Jim Rodgers and his wife, Debbie, of Wichita, Kan.; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.Rodgers was preceded in death by her parents, Hal and Laura and two brothers, Hal James Richardson and his wife, Virginia and Ray Gene Richardson and his wife, Betty.A memorial service was at 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 11, 2020, at the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora.
