RUHAMA S. GANGWES

Ruhama S. Gangwes, 65, of Battlefield passed away, Aug. 2, 2024, in Springfield. She was born on Dec. 25, 1958, in Bacolod City, Philippines, to Cesar Defuntaron Lingco and Zenaida Exiban Santillan.
She attended Negros Occidental High School in Bacolod City, Philippines. She went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the West Negros College and then attended Bethel Bible College in Manila, Philippines, where she received her ministry degree.
She married James Ronald Gangwes on June 7, 1996, and loved his five children as her own.
She is survived by her husband, Ron; children step-children: Christie (Gangwes) Peterson, Ronda (Gangwes) Fletcher, Greg Gangwes, Brad Gangwes, and Steven Gangwes; seven younger siblings, Sarah (Lingco) Domingo, Ruth Lingco, Lemuel Lingco, Rose (Lingco) Dubria, Cesar Lingco Jr., Johnny Lingco, and Joshua Lingco; 10 grandchildren; seven nieces and seven nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation and services were held on Friday, Aug. 9, at Evangel Temple Church, 2020 E. Battlefield Rd. in Springfield with Pastor Dick Bishop officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Bacolod City, Philippines.
