TARA STROTHER-ZENT

Tara Strother-Zent, 36, of Ash Grove passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at her home. She was born Oct. 30, 1987, in Blue Springs; the daughter of Elbert “Jerry” and Vickie (Haller) Strother.
She was a 2006 graduate of Blue Springs High School and received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg. She was a paraprofessional at the Mt. Vernon Early Learning Center.
On Oct. 2, 2021, she married James Zent, in Joplin.
She is survived by her husband, James; her fur baby, Rhett; her mother, Vickie Strother of Blue Springs; her mother-in-law, Lori Zent of Ash Grove; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, sisters and a brother, from the heart.
She was preceded in death by her father; her father-in-law, Robert “Bobby” Zent; and her grandparents.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 22, at the Mt. Vernon Christian Church. The burial will be held at a later date in Blue Springs.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to the Mt. Vernon Christian Church for the Youth Missions.
