Tucker Allred, Ash Grove, was seriously injured after a tree fell on his truck while he was driving during the large storm that occurred under darkness on Saturday, Sept. 23. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Allred, 24, (who was wrongly reported as a volunteer firefighter) was one mile north of Walnut Grove in Polk County when a tree fell onto his 2003 Chevrolet 1500 pickup at about 9 p.m. Allred was then taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield to receive treatment.
Allred sustained serious injuries from the crash and little is known about his current condition aside from a post on his Facebook page made by his mother Jill Allred, saying that he will be OK.
“To let everyone know, he is going to be okay,” she said. “We are so blessed with God’s protection. [It] should have been so much worse.”
She went on to thank his friends and siblings for their support in the trying time.
“Thank you is never enough,” she said.
“He is recovering well at home,” she later said.
