VELMA MOONEYHAM

Velma Mooneyham, 85, of Republic passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2023. She was born Feb. 2, 1938, in Billings, to Willard and Reathel (Blades) Mooneyham, one of eight children in the home.
She graduated from Republic High School with the class of 1955. She worked for Dayco, as a line worker, for over 20 years. She then worked in the environmental services department at Mercy for several years.  She was an avid traveler, both domestic and internationally, having traveled to Switzerland, Scotland, Ireland, and her most cherished trips were to the Holy Land which she visited five times.
Mooneyham, was a devout Christian woman and was a lifelong member of Hopewell Baptist Church, which she attended until her health declined.
Mooneyham is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Jerry and Donnie Mooneyham and sisters Charlotte Rippee, Marilyn Mitchell, and Wilda Maggard.
She is survived by brothers John (Jean) Mooneyham and Ray (Janet) Mooneyham, as well as nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
Funeral services were Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Meadors Funeral Home. She was laid to rest at Wade Chapel Cemetery.
