David Lee Brashers

David Lee Brashers, 77, Republic, passed away Sunday, Nov. 29, 2020 in
Mercy Hospital, Springfield. He was born April 19, 1943 to Ronald Noel and
Edna Mae (Crume) Brashers.
Brashers joined the Air Force in 1961 and served his country. He served on
the Republic Fire Department for 14 years, he was a involved in the Boy
Scouts for 20 years, was a lifelong resident of Republic, loved reading and
could often be found at the Republic Library just enjoying books. Brashers
worked as a computer programmer.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Charlotte and Carolyn, and his
brother Steve.
Survivors include his children Andrew Brashers, Jennifer (Farris) Varner, and
Rebecca “Becki” Edmonds; siblings, Larry (Mary) Brashers, Bruce Brashers,
and Barbara Hagler; and five grandchildren.
A visitation is scheduled to be held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7, 2020 in
Meadors Funeral Home, Republic. A graveside service was at 1 p.m.,
Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020 in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield.
In lieu of flowers the family asked that donations be made to the Ozarks Trail
