More space for restaurant relocating from Highway 160 location

The Farmhouse on Boone Cafe not only has a new name, but also an altogether new location.
The popular Ash Grove restaurant will now be called Farmhouse Bar and Grill. Formerly located at 106 East Boone Street, the business began operating out of their new location at 125 West Main Street on Wednesday, June 1. The new building is the former location for the old Deli Dazzle.
Leslie Day, who co-owns Farmhouse with her husband, Ryan, said they first started looking at the new location last fall and then decided to make the move at the start of the new year.
“We were approached at this location last September,” she said, and we started looking at it, talking about it in November. And then we made the final decision in January to move to this location.”
Day said they chose to move to the new place because it has more than twice the space of their current building, allowing them to serve more customers.
“We have approximately 5,000 square feet here,” she said, “and over there, we had a little over 2,000. We can seat 60 over at the other place. Without having my occupancy permit yet, it's hard to say how many I'll be allotted (here), but I plan to be able to seat about 105.”
There will be a few changes to the menu, but Day said it would remain largely the same as before, with breakfast, lunch and dinner options. However, she added, they do plan to expand their hours of business.
“(We’ll) be open until 8 p.m. on Saturdays for now,” she said, “and then eventually in the coming months down the road, we’ll be open later on Friday and Saturday nights. That’s to be determined.”
The Farmhouse’s new whereabouts allows customers to have more entertainment options.
“Eventually, we do plan to get our liquor license,” she said. “That's within a few months down the road. We do plan to have live entertainment and karaoke nights. We (also) have a pool table, (and) we have a touch tunes jukebox. We're just really hoping for it to be a fun atmosphere.”
The restaurant has two sections, one for casual dining and one for entertainment, which will include a bar, television sets and more.
Day also said her patrons are very enthusiastic about the new location.
“They’re super excited, very excited,” she said. “They're anxious; they're looking forward to seeing it, looking forward to the new space.”
