Why should someone vote for you?
I was born in Springfield and grew up in Douglas County on a small farm. I learned to love American history from my grandfather, which led me to pursue education in law. As an attorney, I've worked on numerous disability cases for clients in Missouri and surrounding states. I was elected to the Missouri House for District 133 in 2016 where I worked on a wide range of issues, such as protecting unborn life, parents rights in education, privacy rights, Second Amendment rights, reduction of frivolous lawsuits, tax cuts, increasing availability of election poll watchers, rural broadband development, and Hailey's Law, a measure to decrease the time required to issue an Amber Alert. Of particular significance are the bills I voted against, such as the gas tax increase, the privacy invasive prescription drug management program (PDMP), Medicaid expansion, and the Real ID mandate. I am proud to be endorsed by Missouri Right to Life, the National Rifle Association with an A+ rating, the Missouri Cattlemen's Association, and the Missouri Republican Assembly. If elected to the Missouri Senate, I will continue to fight for our individual liberties, southwest Missouri values and against bigger government.

Brian Gelner
Age: 50 years old
Occupation: Beverage Distribution Management
Education: Bachelor of Science, Business Administration – Accounting, University of Tulsa
Family: Married to Melissa Gelner, 23 years; proud parent of 14-year-old daughter and 12-year-old son.
Why should someone vote for you?
I am a small businessman and dad who has never run for political office. Our government would be stronger and more effective with more citizen legislators and less career politicians. I bring 25 years of business experience, industry leadership, and community involvement and I truly look forward to this opportunity to serve our community.
