DORIS LEE MAPLES

Doris Lee Maples, 85, of Crane passed away Jan. 5. She was born Sept. 22, 1937 to Clovis and Ester (Burgin) Baker in Hurley.
She graduated from Hurley High School with the class of 1955. She was a hometown girl who spent most of her life in the Hurley/Crane area.
On Dec. 21, 1955, she married Dewey Maples. Their union was blessed with three children, Janet, Jerry and Jeff.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a son, Jerry Maples.
She is survived by husband of 67 years, Dewey; her daughter Janet Price and husband Terry, her son Jeff Maples and wife Crystal, five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother Darhal Baker, as well as nieces and other extended family and countless friends.
Visitation was on Tuesday, Jan. 10, at Meadors Funeral Home in Clever. A celebration of life followed. Burial is at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
