KRISTIN J. WIMBISH

Kristin J. Wimbish, 41, of Republic passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 5, 2023, after suffering a heart attack. She was born May 26, 1981, in Minneapolis, Minn. to Bruce and Linda (Burgess) Hilsen.
She graduated from Blaine Senior High School in Blaine, Minn. with the class of 1999. After graduating, she relocated to St. Louis. She started working in the loss prevention department at Wal-Mart where she met her future husband Andrew in 2007. They relocated to Republic and she transferred to the Wal-Mart on Independence in Springfield, as well as Sam’s Club, maintaining her position in loss prevention. They had three children, Emma, Elizabeth and Riley. They were married on Sept. 5, 2014.
Wimbish left her position at Wal-Mart and had been working in the accounting department with Expedia for the past 10 years.
Wimbish is survived by her husband Andrew; children Emma, Elizabeth and Riley; parents Bruce and Linda Hilsen; brothers Dean Burgess and wife Brenda, Lance Burgess and Cody Hilsen; in-laws Warren Wimbish and wife Sandra; brother-in-law Brandon Wimbish and wife Jessica; other family and friends.
A visitation was from 12-2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023, at Hope Lutheran Church, Republic, with a celebration of life following at 2 p.m.
