M. WAYNE SIFFERMAN

M. Wayne Sifferman, 96, of Topeka, Kan. passed away on Wednesday, March 22, at a Topeka care facility. He was born June 30, 1926 in Bois D'Arc, the son of Lewis D. and Nellie F. (Biellier) Sifferman.


Sifferman graduated from Republic High School in 1944 and was an Army veteran, serving during WWII.
He was employed by KCI Airport for 20 years before retiring and a member of the Moose Lodge, the American Legion and the Locksmith Association.


Sifferman married Eileen McQuaide on Dec. 18, 1948 in Kansas City. They were married for almost 73 years when she passed away on Aug. 16, 2021.
He is survived by his daughter Gail Beale of Topeka, Kan.; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; his brother Norris Sifferman; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen and four siblings.


A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2023 at Meadors Funeral Home in Republic. He will be laid to rest next to his loving wife, Eileen, at Rock Prairie Cemetery in Halltown.
