PHYLLIS ANN (DEMANCHE) CLARK

Phyllis Ann (Demanche) Clark was born on June 29, 1948, to Dick and Nancy (Brown) of Republic.
She graduated from Republic High School with the class of 1966. After school she began working at the Vaisey-Bristol shoe factory in Marionville. While working there she met Roger Clark of Verona, who became the love of her life. They were married at Bible Baptist Church in Republic on Aug. 18, 1967.
Roger and Phyllis made their home in Republic, and they had two sons, Bill in 1968 and Dickie in 1972.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Republic.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Roger; her sons, Bill (Natalie) Clark of Springfield and Dick Clark of Republic; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters-in-law, Judy (Elvin) Sellars, Deb Demanche, and Donna Clark; six nephews; one niece; as well as other extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Tom Demanche; infant twin brothers; her grandparents, Smith and Belle Brown and Mae Patterson; in-laws, Joe and Ann Clark; and brother-in-law, Joe L. Clark.
Visitation was held on Monday, June 26, at First Baptist Church in Republic. Funeral services followed. Clark was laid to rest at Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora following the funeral service.
