MYRA LYNN (HADEN) HALSTEAD

Myra Lynn (Haden) Halstead, 57, of Republic passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family and friends on Saturday, July 29. She was born on Aug. 29, 1965, the daughter of Wanda (Claypool) and Leon "Buck" Haden.
Soon after graduating from Republic High School, she lived in Europe for several years, an experience that inspired a lifelong love of travel. Upon her return, and driven by her passion for working with seniors, she pursued higher education and earned her bachelor's degree in gerontology at Missouri State University.
She frequently returned to Europe, often Germany or Italy, and traveled extensively throughout the states as well—always seeking an excuse to hop on a plane.
She is survived by her husband, Mark; son, Nick O'Neal; daughter, Krista Halstead; mother, Wanda (Claypool) Haden-Hammond, stepfather, Bob Hammond; brother, Tyler Haden; and her favorite nephew, Chandler Haden.
She was preceded in death by her father.
