MARILYN KAY (MAYNARD) DOBBS

Marilyn Kay Maynard Dobbs, 84, of Billings, formally of McDonough, Ga., passed away on Oct. 11, 2023. She was born Oct. 28, 1938, to Raymond and Doris Maynard in Springfield.
She attended Forest Park High School and graduated in 1956. In 1959 she met Richard “Denny” Dobbs, they were married in February of 1960 and shared 63 years together.
They raised four children together: Denise “Dee Dee”, Katherine “Kandy”, Sherri, and Richard. Marilyn was a dedicated wife and mother and put the needs of her family before her own. She faithfully attended church services at the Forest Park church of Christ in Forest Park, Ga., where she served as church secretary for several years until they relocated to McDonough, Ga. and attended the church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband Denny; daughters, Denise (Thomas) Medforth and Sherri Santos; son, Richard (Carrie) Dobbs, Jr.; brother, Kenny (Judy)Maynard; seven granddaughters; one grandson; six great-grandsons; as well as extended family and countless friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Katherine “Kandy” Dobbs and her brother, Phillip Maynard.
Services were held on Monday, Oct. 16, at the Brookline church of Christ with burial at Patterson Cemetery.
