LAURA LEE BARKER

Laura Lee Barker, 82, of Willard passed away Thursday, Nov. 2, 2023. She was born on April 22, 1941, in Ponca City, Okla. to Woodson and Laura (Eversmeyer) Combs.
On April 10, 1965, Laura and Richard Allen Barker Sr. were united in marriage and shared over 51 years together before his passing in 2016.
Barker was a nurse for 62 years, graduating nursing school from Jewish Hospital, and worked in many different aspects of nursing care. She was an active member of Walnut Grove First Baptist Church. She was active in many charities, her favorites were Operation Christmas Child and the Native American Toy Drive.
She had many wonderful friends, but Karen Dodson and Diana Stehlik were her very best.
She is survived by her children, Rachelle (Michael) McKee, Richard Allen (Cynthia) Barker, Jr., Eric (Cheryl) Barker; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and other family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Allen Barker, Sr.; and her siblings, Neil Combs and Norma Spurgeon.  
Funeral services were held on Monday, Nov. 6, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home in Walnut Grove, with burial following at Greene Lawn Cemetery in Walnut Grove.
