TRACY LANCE GOFF

Tracy Lance Goff, 43, of Republic passed away on June 3, 2024, in Springfield. He was born in Sumter, S.C. on March 17, 1981; the son of James Michael Goff and Karen Nichols Goff.
He attended Lakewood High School and graduated in 2000. He went on to study at Spartanburg Methodist College in Spartanburg, S.C. and finished his associate’s degree at Ozarks Technical Community College in 2019. He served in the Navy, National Guard, and the Army and did one tour of duty in Iraq under Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was honorably discharged from the Army in 2008. He married Rita Avins Goff on June 10, 2005.
He is survived by his wife, Rita; his son, Lathan; his mother, Karen; his siblings, Chris (Jocelyn) Goff and Jessica (Matt) Blevins; two nephews; two nieces; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; his military brother, Brandon Howell and many other brothers in arms; mother in-law, Diania Hodge; sisters-in law, Crystal (Ryan) and Brianna (Cass); and brother in-law, Joseph (Will).
He was preceded in death by his father, Mike; his paternal grandmother, Thena Louise Goff; and maternal grandparents; Sudie and Bobby Nichols.
Visitation and funeral services with military honors were held on Friday, June 7, at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home in Springfield.
