NORA MAE COSTLEY

Nora Mae Costley, born on May 15, 2021, in Springfield, Missouri, passed away on July 12, 2024, at the age of 3, in St. Louis, Missouri.
Nora brought immense joy and laughter to all who knew her, with her beautiful giggle and infectious smile. She possessed a delightful stubbornness and an unwavering love for music, bubbles, and goldfish crackers. Nora had a passion for children’s music, often requesting songs by Laurie Berkner, Ms. Rachel, or the Wiggles. Her favorite tune, “I Know a Chicken” by Laurie Berkner, always had her excitedly shaking her “shakey egg” along with the music.
Nora is survived by her loving parents, Matt and Victoria Costley; her sisters, Violet and Ginny; grandparents, Mark and Terre Costley, Bernie and Sandra Hobold; great-grandparents, Peggy Costley and Terry and Vicki Dunscombe; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins including Maggie Costley and Travis Payeur, Michael and Elisabeth Costley, Jennifer and Tom Kriegermeier, Ben and Terrie Hobold, and Lauren and John Schanbacher.
Nora and her family were members of the Monett Community Church, where her visitation was held on Thursday, July 18, followed by her funeral on Friday, July 19.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Nora’s memory can be made to the Down Syndrome Group of the Ozarks or the Barry-Lawrence County Developmental Center, organizations that reflect her joyful spirit and the love she shared with those around her.
Arrangements were entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri.
