Republic Area Chamber of Commerce hosts ROAR Expo to thousands

Attendees at the ROAR Expo visit the booths set up by local businesses and organizations. Almost 80 businesses and organizations were represented at the event.
The Republic Area Chamber of Commerce recently held their fourth annual ROAR Expo at the Republic Community Center on Saturday, Aug. 17. About 2,000 people attended the event, where they got to meet and speak with people from about 80 businesses and organizations which set up booths inside the community center. The event included live music, a petting zoo, inflatable buildings, face painting, free haircuts, back-to-school giveaways, free admission to the RUSH and much more.
“This year’s ROAR Expo was a larger showcase of our local businesses, their hearts to give back, and a stronger response from the community than ever,” said Macy Mitchell, executive director of the chamber. “With a high energy expo and community giveback event, we met people from all over the region visiting with our businesses and non-profits. We aimed to be the place where you could bring your family and friends for a fun and heartfelt night out, and we feel we not just accomplished that, but that our businesses were seen and heard because of it. We’re excited about the future prosperity and unity of our community and are thankful for everyone’s support this past weekend as we build our economy, community, and grow together!”
