DARRELL WAYNE TAYLOR

Darrell Wayne Taylor, 84, of Republic passed away on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2024, at Cox South in Springfield. He was born in Springfield on Sept. 11, 1940; the son of George and Dorothy (Anderson) Taylor and the eldest of five children in the home.
He graduated from Willard High School. For most of his career he was a cattle buyer and a heavy equipment operator, mainly running bulldozers and loaders.
He met Phyllis McNabb and, after many years together, they were married on Feb. 9, 2004, in Eureka Springs, Ark.
He is survived his wife, Phyllis; children: Kerri (John) Banion, Jeff (Karen) Taylor and Chris Taylor; stepchildren, Herb (Anissa) Bluebaum, Jen Elkins (Mark Rash) and Ashley Bluebaum; as well as numerous grand, great-grand and great-great-grandchildren and other extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Garry, Larry and David Taylor; a daughter, Connie Merriman; and a very special aunt, Betty Taylor.
Per his own wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no formal services held.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Meadors Funeral Home in Republic.
