WILLIAM “WILLIE” LEE BEAN

William “Willie” Lee Bean, 46, of Walnut Grove passed away Friday, Jan. 10, 2025. He was born on Dec. 11, 1978, in Springfield to Allen and Linda (Melton) Bean.
On May 7, 2022, he married Kimberly Gomes.  
He was a 1997 graduate of Walnut Grove High School. He had a long career with Greene County Highway Department and ended his time there as a road grader operator. He was also a member of Glidewell Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly; his parents, Linda Bean and Allen (Michelle) Bean; sister, Jessica (Bobby) Fortner; step-sister, Brittany (Brian) Howard; step-grandparents, Jerry and Carol Hess; mother-in-law, Judy (Karl) Severson; father-in-law, Paul Gomes; brothers and sisters-in-law: Paul (Jessica) Gomes, II, Andy (Arika) Gomes, Jennifer (Stacey) Groomes, Tammy Gomes, Amanda (Sean) Gross; his nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles: David (Beth) Melton, Karen Melton, Danny (Rachel) Reeves and David (Tonya) Reeves; friends Michelle (Andy) Williams; his best friend and fishing buddy, Brad Fann; his Greene County brothers; office HoHoHos; puppies, Claude and Frank; cousins, other family, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dale and Donna Melton and Charlie and Gladys Bean; and aunt, Beth (Melton) Chainey.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 17, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home in Walnut Grove. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home in Walnut Grove, with burial to follow at Shady Grove Cemetery.
