HELEN MARCELLA GRANT

Helen Marcella Grant, 92, of Ash Grove passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025. She was born in Ash Grove on Oct. 9, 1932; the daughter of Homer and Ruth (Wise) Fortner.
On Oct. 12, 1951, she married Larry Grant and they shared over 67 years together before his passing in 2018.
She was a lifelong area resident and was active in her church for as long as her health allowed. She was a telephone operator at Southwestern Bell and sold Avon for many years.
She is survived by her daughter, Karin Lyons; her sister, Shirley Daniel; as well as her nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry Grant; and brother, James Tedford “Jimmy Ted” Fortner.
Services were held on Tuesday, May 27, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home in Ash Grove with burial at Ash Grove Cemetery.
